I watched a few things, but what did you watch? Did you check out the great Homeland Security USA & Scrubs on ABC? Check out The Mentalist like me? Or did you sit down to the CW with 90210 and the sweet Privileged that warms my heart?

Leverage: This week Leverage had everything: a fake movie, some bad accents, orphans, and some funny lines. I loved it. This show has really grown on me and I find that every week the show finds a way to change it up. This week it was about getting a kid back from Belgrade and in the process of the heist, they had to do things they originally did not want to do. In order to get the kid back they had to create a fake movie and use Sophie as the actress and she was actually good at acting! I find it hilarious that she can't act when it is not part of a job, but when it is she can't to great. The ending was great especially with the fake death of Beth Riesgraf. Plus, this show is great in HD!

90210: The best part of this

week's 90210 was of course Brenda & Kelly. They are by far the most interesting and their character dynamic is so great. Plus, I hate how Naomi has to be so annoying and I really can't stand watching her. I find the acting by Shanae Grimes to be off and on, sometimes it is not that bad, sometimes it is. One of the real hidden gems on this show is Lori Loughlin. I loved her in Full House and more recently Summerland. She is so real and I love the mom she plays, fun but serious.

The best part about 90210 and enough reason to watch it on its own is Jessica Lowndes. Her portrayal of Adrianna was so genuine that it made me think for a second this was a real story. Especially the story line that she was handed this week, with the revelation that she is pregnant with a users baby is such a gift for this really talented young actress. Bravo, to a great character and actress.

The Mentalist: I love this show! Period. It so fun and it is a procedural and that is why it is hard to recap, so I will just tell you why it is so good. Its not all because of Simon Baker's great performance as Patrick Jane, it falls partially on the great supporting cast. I love Robin Tunney as Lisbon with her witty responses and her underlying admiration for Jane. I also like Amanda Righetti as Van Belt with her childlike love for Patrick and his cool tricks. This is a a procedural worth watching and with 16 million viewers watching, I can already see you are.

Privileged: This might be the most innocent show, that is so charming I can't get enough. Joanna Garcia as Megan maybe the most perfect, wonderful casting ever, and her acting is spot on. In last night episode, Sharon Lawerence as Megan's mom Shelly decide to act like she wasn't gone for her childhood and it created problems with Megan to the point that they aren't talking. This story is happening to so many people and love that is being developed here. This was a big Marco episode and we were do for one. He is pondering maybe he should leave the mansion to pursue his own cafe and his boyfriend Keith (who hasn't been seen, but was in the original script for the pilot), who ended up being a bad influence. This show is amazing and is a real hidden gem in the primetime TV world!

What I Will Be Watching - January 7th, 2009

Tonight, it is back and by it I mean Damages! Returning the brilliant Glenn Glose, Rose Byrne, Tate Donavan, and Ted Danson, with new additions William Hurt, the scary but good Timothy Olyphant, and Marcia Gay Harden. This show is brilliant on so many levels and I can't obtain my excitement. If you missed on the first season, FX has a great catch up on their website. This season, Ellen tries to ruin Patty and William Hurt is a client that may cause trouble in Patty's life.

Top Chef: New York - 10/9c on Bravo It is back. This is just a joy to watch every week and it is coming back tonight with a new judge. Toby Young replaces Gail Simmons while she is on leave after getting married and from the look of it he is tough and is giving a double elimination. Lets hope Carla stays in, she is such a hoot!

Law & Order - 10/9c on NBC I love the original and the ADA's are so good. That means five less hours for scripted TV. So, I don't get this news that they are going to launch (maybe) another new show this winter besides the couple they are already going to do. 'Police' does have some good actors but is that good enough.

From Hollywood Reporter:

NBC is looking to keep a John Wells-branded drama on the air after the March finale of "ER" with an offer for an episodic order to Wells' new cop drama pilot "Police" (formerly "LAPD").

NBC is in heavy talks with Warner Bros. TV, which produces "Police" with studio-based John Wells Prods., for a possible midseason pickup.

There have been several major obstacles to making a deal, the main of which is the future of NBC's 10 p.m. slots, longtime home of drama series. With the network's recent announcement that it will strip a comedy talk show hosted by Jay Leno in the time period beginning in September, it is not clear whether NBC would need "Police" beyond May.

Also in question is the size of the order, with 12 episodes said to be the more likely but a short, six-episode run also said to be under consideration.

The two sides are trying to hammer out a deal that would work financially for the network and the studio, and sources are hopeful that an agreement could be reached.

Ordered to pilot in June, "LAPD" is an ensemble show starring Tom Everett Scott, Regina King and Arija Bareikis that follows a group of police officers in Los Angeles. It's exec produced by writer Ann Biderman, director Christopher Chulack and Wells.

Previously on January 5th, 2009

Last night there was trashiness, betrayal, a lot of New York City, and some arrogance. All you need for a good night in TV world. I watched Gossip Girl, which hasn't suffered a sophomore slump and is better than ever, True Beauty, a new beauty competition that is one of the guiltiest of guiltiest pleasures, and finally The City, which is getting better and better.

Gossip Girl: This episode had everything. Every character almost had developments and the drama was revamped. This episode was more a set-up episode with story-lines started just enough to spark interest. First for Jenny it was back-to-school. She finally returns to Constance after her adult stage and I have been waiting for this for a while. She goes around with the wonderful Eric, trying to mess up Blair's underlings. For Dan it was all about Serena. After Serena finally broke up with the weird stocker Aaron in South America, she returns and wants Dan back and he is more than welcoming. For me, I have mixed feelings about the pairing. I like how sweet they are together, but I don't like that in the original books this couple was never meant to be more than a fling.

The episode was mostly focused on Chuck and his downward spiral. Blair really cares about Chuck and hopes he gets better. We find out that he was off shacking it up in other part of the world and comes back with his uncle. The uncle was an amusing character and reminded me of Chuck. Once back at school Chuck gets caught smoking and it is Blair that wants to deal with it. I think that Blair can be a great influence for Chuck if Blair can be a little less out of control herself sometimes.

The main draw for me about this episode was Lily & Rufus. They are the true couple of this show I feel and love the acting that both Kelly Rutherford and Matthew Settle give in there scenes. As we found out before Lily had a kid with Rufus that he did not know about and she gave it up for adoption. This boy is driving Rufus crazy and Lily is mad that even knows. I am excited to see where this stroy goes and I hope it is part of the main story for the rest of the season.

True Beauty: This show has some of the most arrogant, selfish and self-absorbed people I have ever seen (I am sure some of that is for the show). I was very reluctant to watch this but decided to check it out, and I didn't like it but couldn't bring my self to stop watching. There is something so trashy and fun about watching people being judged on both their inner and outer beauty and being so vein. I haven't made up my mind about next week, but I do know that the right person went home.

The City: The City's third episode was great. I love how Whitney did not listen to the creepy Olivia about her apartment search and went for the beautiful spot she saw first that Jay picked out. I love how this show really shows of New York and love seeing spots that I have been too on my travels. This show is starting to grow and I think will have a long life it people find it and latch on like The Hills. I really like Erin, I think she is fun, smart, and a great companion for Whitney. I hope the show shows her life even more in the remaining ten episodes.

What I Will Be Watching - January 6th, 2009

The return week continues with a bunch of premieres. He is the hospital's chief medical officer and arranged for her to take the job there.

Lahti and Sneed join the previously cast Rose, Nick Zano and Diana Maria Riva.

"Instructions" marks Lahti's return to the medical genre after her Emmy-winning turn on the CBS drama "Chicago Hope."

USA Picks Up "Royal Pains"

Today, USA picked up a new series to add to their great character lineup. This one stars Mark Feuerstein as a doctor and I think could fit well with the USA brand.

From Hollywood Reporter:

USA Network is moving forward with "Royal Pains," giving a series pickup to the show starring Mark Feuerstein as an on-call doctor to the Hamptons elite.

The cable channel has ordered 11 hourlong episodes in addition to the two-hour pilot for a potential summer launch. "Pains" marks the first original series produced for USA by corporate sibling Universal Cable Prods., which was formed in the spring when the cable operations of Universal Media Studios were spun off into a new production entity under Bonnie Hammer.

"Pains" is eyed as a possible companion for "House," the off-network rights to which USA has acquired.

Jeff Wachtel, executive vp original programming at USA and co-head of original content at Universal Cable Prods., said he and executive vp original programming Jackie de Crinis began developing shows centered on a doctor two years ago after they acquired the "House" rights.

" 'Royal Pains' is our first doctor show," Wachtel said. "And I say 'doctor' rather than 'medical' because 'doctor show' means it's more personal and offbeat, and that fits into our brand. 'Medical show' typically means more of a hospital ensemble."

Paulo Costanzo, Jill Flint and Reshma Shetty co star in "Pains," which is exec produced by Rich Frank and Paul Frank and written and co-exec produced by Andrew Lenchewski. John Rogers also is co-executive producer. The pilot's helmer, Jace Alexander, will stay on as directing producer.

"Pains" is one of three cast-contingent 90-minute pilots USA greenlighted last summer, along with "White Collar" and "Operating Instructions," both of which are wrapping casting.

Previously on January 4th, 2009

Last night was the return of Sunday night TV, and for me that means ABC! Last night there was a new Brothers & Sisters as well as a brand new Desperate Housewives. My thoughts on the night were mixed, but if you haven't watched them I will be saying some plot points of the episode.

Desperate Housewives:<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_ZumnL-rX7r0/SWKghOoCOzI/AAAAAAAAA2M/8LsW4VYN3kU/s200/housewives-recap_l.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287965405208525618" /> This episode had many different plots as usual. The funniest one actually was Susan's. Since Gale Harold is still recovering from his accident, Jackson is not in the picture right now so Susan was lonely. Lee took Susan out to the club and they ended up going home with each other, since of course Lee is gay Susan didn't think anything of it but in the AM she could not remember and the whole episode revolves around did she or did she not sleep with him.

Dave's story-line was not the top this week, but he was a part of the episode. We McClusky see Mrs. and her sister still poking around, but nothing comes up and Edie hears something she doesn't want to hear. This mystery is interesting but I feel like it is a little pushed and it doesn't really feel that we should care about his dead wife as we have only really met her once. As for Lynette, the only interesting thing I thought was the revelation that her accused son is hiding with the always fun grandma played by the great Polly Bergen. Finally Bree was all the hostess this week and she was hosting Alex's mother. It is always great to see Bree offended and upset and this week was no exception. I love when they feature Andrew and his boyfriend and it is great for network TV to show gay youth in a positive way. Overall, a very descent episode of Desperate Housewives and looking forward to the week's ahead.

Brothers & Sisters:<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_ZumnL-rX7r0/SWKkP9_N4bI/AAAAAAAAA2U/NLWU7NvZ5G0/s200/brothersandsisters_l.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5287969506731090354" /> Last night on Brothers & Sisters the story was on each siblings personal issues and less of the family as a whole. With the recent news of Balthazar Getty semi-exit on the show you can see that they are already prepping for his withdrawal from the show full-time. He starts the episode fighting with Kevin about the recent news that he is the father of Elizabeth but ends it with making peace and going back to his life. The episode mostly surrounds Kevin and his recovery from the surgery. Kevin feels that Nora is being way to helpful and has to escape with Justin. Kevin is one of my favorite characters and I love his undefinably humor that is so fun to watch.

In the beginning of the episode, we see Cooper's class introducing Justin as Coop's favorite person, but the reasons why he is his favorite and it is rather funny. It is that he gets to spend his day catered by mom and playing video games. This prompts Justin to realize with his siblings that he needs to move out of Nora's in order to get his life in order. I was hoping for this because it will give us more reason to see Rebecca and that is always a good thing. Kitty and Robert were also having troubles this week with Kitty's job title in question. The best part was their brain sex, good stuff. Overall, it had it's high points, Sally Field's awesomely emotionally scene with Ron Rifkin, and just the okay points. When can we finally see Ryan, hopefully soon?

(Note: Please bare with me because I am kinda new at this and I will get better at it!)

What I Will be Watching - January 5th, 2009

Return of Monday TV! I didn't but know I am. I remember in the later seasons watching the show and thinking this was great but maybe I was just to young to appreciated it fully. Now I do! Bravo has been rebroadcasting the entire series from the start for the past month and I have been watching ever episode. The West Wing is a show about the interworking of the White House and the people that run it. It's a very real drama, that many people formally in the White House wrote episodes for and the acting is tremendous. Led by the great Martin Sheen, this is a drama but it feels almost like it is reality! t is shocking to see the resemblance of the show to the Obama campaign, Obama ideas, and what will be a great Obama future.

They air at 8/7c and 9/8c in the AM from Monday to Friday and are great fun. They are about to start the fourth season on Tuesday at 9/8c, so it is not to late to enjoy this epic story.

What I Will Be Watching - January 4th, 2009

Tonight marks the start of the new TV season because January is the new September. This episode called "Two Ministers," focused on three things. The first and more promient was the marriage of Nate and Beth in Vegas, and what the implications are of Eli's visions about the break-up of the marriage. The second was a case involving Keith's minister, who was previously a female but is now a male. The church fired him for his surgery and all he wants is to state his case. The last thing was the revalation that Taylor & Matt's baby might have a syndrome and how they were both coping.

I have always liked Beth ever since her appearance in the pilot (she was originally a serious regular), but I also knew that Beth was destined for Eli and not Nate. It was sad to see Eli tell Beth that he didn't love her to save Nate, even though the audience knows he really does. One thing about this episode that stood out was the lack of Maggie in this hour, and it a couple previous ones also. Maggie has always been my favorite and I hope she is in the last four episodes, and that also goes for Spy Daddy as well.

<img style="float:left; margin:0 10px 10px 0;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 115px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_ZumnL-rX7r0/SVvfRKEWUUI/AAAAAAAAA1c/wem6XnvwX74/s320/leverage107_episode_410x148.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5286064073502773570" />Leverage: This episode of Leverage took place almost entirely in one location...a bank. I am not a huge fan of any hostage situation, but this one was actually likeable and had some twists and turns. One thing about Leverage that is so great is the witty banter between the memmers of the team, it gives humor to otherwise sad time. The best part of the hour was of course the pay off at the end. I have been a fan of Whitney since she was first introduced at Teen Vogue and I was excited to see her be the focus of the new show. The City mostly surrounds here work at DVF in NYC and her friends and co-workers she meets. The cast is great and are full of the scandals that make these shows such guilty pleasures. I love Erin, Whitney's only friend she new before she moved and Erin's wit and attitude make her so fun to watch. Whitney's co-worker at DVF is Olivia who is a New York socialite, and lives life rich. She is the bitch this season and there is nothing wrong with this. Whitney's boyfriend is Jay, an Australian musician who may or may not be cheating on Whit. Jay is a shady person and would love for Whit to find somebody better. The best part of the hour was seeing Whitney's old boss Kelly and her great advice. Kelly should be in ever episode. Overall, The City=this winter's guilty pleasure.

Advanced ABC Reviews for January including LOST!!

With new TV coming back next week, here are so reviews of what to watch and what do not and luckily from all that I saw watch!

Homeland Security USA is a new documentary series about life of protecting our borders and our country. The pilot was super interesting and I really was shocked at what goes on at the Mexico-US border. In the pilot they show from many different prospectives which makes it much more fun. They show all of our borders along with the postal service, the customs at LAX, and some other places. Overall, check this one out! Homeland Security USA airs starting January 6th at 8/7c.

Scrubs is back for an 8th season, but this time it is on ABC and if the first two episodes are any indication the move made the show better than ever. I admittedly on watched this show off and on for the past seasons, but I wanted to check out what the show was like after the move. The first half hour is more on the comedy side and deals with the new interns and the new Chief-of-Medicine Dr. Maddox played great by Courtney Cox. The interns are hilarious, with a great scene involving Lost. Scrubs airs starting Tuesday January 5th at 9/8c.

Lost is back!! I have been waiting since May and with the first two hours of this new season, I am fully pleased with waiting those long months. The two hours get better and better as it goes on and the end of hour two is just classic Lost and fans will not be disappointed. The episodes are full of Daniel Faraday and I was pleased to see he had such a large role this season. Now I am just upset because I have to wait a month for hour three. I loved the con this week because it was verging on the crazy and I love when shows do that like FOX's Fringe. The one problem I have with this show is that it is sometimes hard to follow. In the start of the episode they get the solution to the problem so quick, it is sometimes hard for me to stay with it. I love Gina Bellman's multiple characters. She is awesome and love how they use her so much. Watch Leverage every Tuesday at 10/9c. It is worth it!

Tonight on TV - Tuesday December 23rd

What I will we Watching!

Rediscovered on ABC - Donny and Marie host this special about discorved talent from the 21st century, being rediscovered in 2008!

ABC's The List - Sounds like a look back on 2008 with a nice twist.

Leverage on TNT - Great show about modern day Robin Hood's with a great cast.
